Pollutants suspect in bee malady

Researchers are closer to to knowing the causes of bee colony collapse, the mysterious malady threatening honey supplies and orchard and crop pollination. A Washington State University research team has found two probable suspects, KUOW reporter Tom Banse found – a new fungal infection and high levels of herbicide, fungicide and insecticide residues in honeycombs.
