Denver’s air pollution woes

By July 8, 2009March 19th, 2015No Comments

Bad news for Denver and its suburbs, which are not in compliance with the latest federal standards on ozone compliance, writes Christopher N. Osher in today’s Denver Post. Worse, President Barack Obama probably will make those standards tougher.

Noting that Colorado must submit a pollution-control plan to the federal Environmental Protection Agency by 2013 that will detail how the state plans to deal with ozone pollution, Osher writes that finding a way to bring the state into compliance has become the biggest air pollution problem in the state.
