Denver Posts reporters Kevin Vaughn and Greg Griffin this morning deliver a powerful portrait of a surgical tech and drug user who police say stole powerful narcotics then returned dirty syringes filled with saline for use on patients, who later contracted Hepatitis C. About 5,700 patients now need to be tested for hepatitis C – and 10 are confirmed to have contracted the disease after surgery at Rose Medical Center in Denver where the tech worked.
